QURULI

QURULI was formed in 1996 at the music club of Kyoto’s Ritsumeikan University. Since the release of their single “Tokyo” in 1998, they have established their own unique style within the Japanese rock scene. Their songs are marked by delicate and heartfelt humanistic themes, while their music draws eclectically from various subgenres of rock, making these qualities key trademarks of QURULI. These elements have helped them amass a large fanbase. Since their debut, they have been an indispensable presence at major Japanese music festivals and are considered one of the most influential rock bands in the Japanese rock landscape of the 1990s.
