Gestalt Girl (urban session) ft. yurinasia is a Taiwanese rock band formed in 2016, known for their unique style of Japanese-language rock. Their music is defined by catchy vocal melodies paired with intricate instrumental arrangements. Over their seven-year journey, the band has continuously evolved, refusing to be confined by genre. While their early works left a lasting impression with math-rock elements like irregular signatures and syncopation, their releases since 2019 have incorporated more atmospheric textures, blending their J-rock roots with a dreamlike shoegaze vibe.
Active in both Taiwan and Japan, Gestalt Girl (urban session) ft. yurinasia has performed at major festivals including Megaport Festival, Vagabond Festival, Camp de Amigo, and More Than Dance Festival(般若電司音樂祭) in Taiwan, as well as SHIN-ON SAI, CIRCLE, and Minami Wheel in Japan. In 2023, they launched their self-curated tour “未來的窗” across five cities in both countries, with shows in Tokyo, Taipei, and Kaohsiung selling out completely. In 2024, their acoustic tour “門出燦燦” spanned nine shows across five Japanese and three Taiwanese cities, all of which were sold out. At the end of that year, they released the EP “仕事” featuring the track “副都心”—a collaboration with Takeshi Arai of the band apart. The title track “仕事” has received widespread acclaim and recommendations from numerous Japanese radio DJs and industry figures.
