WONK

WONK, the experimental soul band from Tokyo, was formed in 2013. In 2016, they released their first album ‘Sphere,’ which was highly acclaimed by music media for its genre-bending musicality, including jazz, soul, and hip-hop. They have performed in Paris, Berlin, and at many major festivals in Japan. In addition to remixeswith José James and Oscar Jerome, an official cover of The Internet, and participation in a Thelonious Monk tribute album, in 2023 they collaborated with Kiefer and 9m88, looking toward wider developments both domestically and internationally.
