Summoning a sharp blend of electronic bombast, soaring punk, pummeling metalcore, and melody, Crossfaith remains furiously determined to deliver music and artistry unlike any other band.
Alternative Press placed the Japanese group among the Top 10 Artists Proving Genres Are a Thing of the Past, alongside genre-mashers like Bring Me The Horizon and twenty one pilots. Crossfaith continues to innovate and evolve, across acclaimed albums The Dream, The Space (2011), Apocalyze (2013), Xeno (2015), and Ex Machina (2018), and several beloved EPs and standalone singles. They enrapture audiences with a clever and caustic mix of high-energy performance and musical prowess.
Kenta Koie, Terufumi Tamano, and Kazuki Takemura started playing metal covers together as teens. After Tatsuya Amano came onboard and they collectively ingested aggressive dance music like The Chemical Brothers, Crossfaith’s innovative adventure began in earnest. Kerrang! once described them as “Slipknot tearing The Prodigy limb from limb.” They’ve since earned multiple nominations at the Kerrang! Awards, the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards, and the Alternative Press Music Awards.
AЯK is the first Crossfaith album in six years. The blistering and multifaceted full-length careens wildly back and forth from the chaotic to the contemplative without ever sacrificing the opportunity for a catchy hook. The album fully integrates longtime touring guitarist Daiki Koide as an official member.
Seventeen years after their inaugural demo, Crossfaith is just getting started.
