DSPS

Formed in 2014, the band consists of vocalist Zeng Ren-Wen, guitarist Jan Yong-Xiang, bassist Chung Yi-An, and drummer Chuang Tzu-Heng.
Their music is rooted in Indie Pop and Guitar Pop, characterized by everyday lyrical themes, refreshing vocals, melodic guitar textures, and intricate, distinctive rhythms driven by bass and drums.

Following the release of their debut EP “Will I Sleep Until the Afternoon Again?” in 2016, the band began performing extensively across venues and music festivals throughout Taiwan. The EP has since surpassed five million views on YouTube, a rare milestone among independent bands.

Beginning in 2017, they expanded their presence across Asia, touring in Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea, and China, where they have built a loyal fan base and strong ticket sales.

In 2018, the band released their first full-length album “Product of Time.” Over the next two years, they followed up with the EP “Fully I” and the single “Catch Me Baby Come and Dive,” maintaining a steady pace of releasing new music each year.

Beyond their consistent releases and performances, DSPS actively organizes independent shows and tours while pursuing cross-disciplinary collaborations with artists from various fields, exploring new possibilities at the intersection of music and art.

In 2021, supported by the Popular Music Marketing Promotion Program, DSPS presented the immersive experimental performance “Mist of Consciousness” at the Taipei Contemporary Art Center. The performance incorporated holographic projection and surround sound, creating an innovative concert experience.

That same year, DSPS released a 5th anniversary remix cassette of “Will I Sleep Until the Afternoon Again?” featuring collaborations with EVISBEATS (Japan), Kimberley Road Union (Hong Kong), and Taiwanese musician Rayton Dog based in the United States. These remixes reimagined three familiar tracks, demonstrating DSPS’s keen artistic vision and their openness to international collaboration.

Following the pandemic, the band has continued performing actively across Asia while steadily releasing new music.
In 2024, they released the single “Care and Chemistry,” while preparing for a new album scheduled for release next year.
