Anni Hung

Anni Hung is a Taiwanese singer-songwriter and producer. Her music is rooted in folk-pop, characterized by minimalist arrangements and delicate lyrics that explore emotional states, relational distance, and inner feelings. Centered around acoustic guitar, vocals, and spacious sonic textures, her sound carries a restrained and introspective quality.

Anni Hung began her career performing on university campuses, gradually building live performance experience and an audience base. In December 2017, she released her debut album I Like You. During the pandemic, she released the EP Present, a work centered on cherishing everyday life, living in the present moment, and learning how to say goodbye. To date, she has released four records in total (three full-length albums and one EP), held a solo concert in Taiwan with an audience of over a thousand, and composed the theme song for the Taiwanese film Dreamin’ Wild Park.

In recent years, she has continued to perform internationally and engage in musical exchanges, with performances in Japan, Austria, and the United Kingdom, including a solo showcase in London. In 2025, she received a Master’s degree in Creative Practice (MMus) from Goldsmiths, University of London.

Her 2024 album A Room in Brockley draws inspiration from her daily life and observations while living in the UK. The album incorporates a wabi-sabi aesthetic, preserving the raw textures and natural imperfections of sound to present music that is imperfect yet deeply connected to everyday life.

Released in January 2026, A Piece of Peace continues the thread of the previous work. Through minimal and organic sonic language, it seeks to convey calmness and a sense of safety within the fast-paced and anxiety-driven contemporary world.

Anni Hung’s songwriting grows out of daily life. Through music, she encourages herself while also accompanying her listeners. For her, creation is a process of inward reflection, with music serving as a medium to document thoughts, emotions, and the traces left by time. It is also a continuous exchange—resonating back and forth between herself and others.
