Han Huang (黃宇寒) is a Hakka musician from Longtan, Taiwan, and a second-generation Chinese Indonesian. Drawing from her unique multicultural background, her albums “Sometimes, Someday” and “The Present Emptiness” were both nominated at the Golden Melody Awards for Best Hakka Singer, Best Hakka Album, and Album of the Year.
Following her third album “Storytelling,” which explored electronic sounds, Han returned in 2024 with the more stripped-down EP “Tree Shadow.” In 2025, she released her fourth studio album “Ngai,” boldly incorporating seven languages—Hakka, Taiwanese, English, Cantonese, French, Korean, and Amis chanting—opening up new sonic possibilities for contemporary Hakka music.
