Dac

Dac, born into a Taiwanese family and raised in the United States and Switzerland, graduated as the only student to earn dual degrees in Performance and Sound Design in 2018, a testament to their extraordinary journey. Originally aspiring to become a jazz pianist, they soon discovered their true passion lay in beat production, playing synthesizers, rapping, and leading bands. This led them to create music that blends Hip Hop, Jazz, Fusion, and Electronic genres, layered with acoustic instruments to deliver a rich and intricate sound.

Dac has collaborated with several renowned Taiwanese artists, including Leo Wang, Li Yinghong, Yeemao, GorDoN, The Crane. They also produced Chunyan’s album Thanks <3, showcasing his unique artistic vision.

In 2024, Dac earned six nominations at the Golden Indie Music Awards, including Best Singer-Songwriter, Best Live Performance, Best Hip Hop Album, Best Hip Hop Song, Best R&B Song, and Best Alternative Pop Song.
